So X-Men Origins: Wolverine isn't a great movie. Honestly, is this really a surprise? (I'm sure you watched the same trailers I did.)
Regardless of whether the film is good or not, it's certainly entertaining. I know I laughed at numerous parts throughout the film...which is why I've decided to compile this list.
(If it's not obvious, this article contains spoilers)
- James Howlett yelling as a kid (though I did like the shot of him
running out of the hallway, straight from X1 + X2)
- Slow motion war montage
- Maverick gun montage
- Ryan Reynolds slices a bullet in half
- Everyone lets Logan walk away after telling him they can't just let
him walk away
- "Was it the war? Which one?" "All of them."
- Agent Zero shooting the cigar
- Logan yells after the "death" of his girlfriend Silver Fox
- Wolverine can hear under water.
- Wolverine goes through the exploding barn in the motorcycle
- Wolverine jumps onto the helicopter off the exploding Humvee
- Wolverine walks away in slow motion while flames explode behind him
(action cliche #1!)
- Wolverine's pseudo-parents get randomly pwned (who didn't see that coming?) and he does not later have a scene where he cries or buries them. Total plot accessory.
- Adamentium bullets introduced right after Agent Zero dies (Only six too!)
- Wolverine fights the Blob in a totally unnecessary fight/cameo
- will.i.am gets pw3nd by Sabertooth for being "predictable"
- Gambit climbing the wall with his broken staff
- Wolverine cutting apart the fire escape to get to Gambit. (Why does this shot last so long?)
- Wolverine jumps out of the low altitude flying plane
- Silverfox is ALIVE!
- Wolverine walks away
- Wolveirne instantly teleports back to defend Silverfox (he even took
off his jacket!)
- Wolverine running down the corridor of cages with his arms outstretched and a super constipated look on his face
- Scott's random optic blast. "Did I get them?" (Why does Cyclops now have HEAT VISION?)
- Kayla telling her sister to lead the kids out to safety - even though she has no idea if it's safe outside. And in fact, it's not given that Deadpool and Creed are out there.
- Deadpool is revealed to operate via remote computer (with a great UI for the 1970s/80s)
- Cyclops is a dick ("I just know.")
- Sabertooth saves Wolverine (man he really is the Protoman of this movie!)
- Deadpool teleports and wrecks Sabertooth and Wolverine (is this in the video game?)
- Deadpool has OPTIC BLASTS (which Wolverine can block with his CLAWS...MvC2 indeed)
- Deadpool's decapitated head destroys one of the nuclear cooling towers
- Gambit gets an ASSIST OK by destroying the concrete
- "His brain may heal but his memories won't."
