Wired's 5 Lessons TV Should Learn After Losing Heroes
You may have heard by now: season 5 is the last season of NBC's Heroes. It was a series I loved at first, but it got progressively worse from the second season onwards, spiraling through all of the horrors of reading ongoing comic books in my mind. I haven't watched Heroes since the beginning of season 3.
Wired has an interesting list of lessons TV should learn from the demise of Heroes. I agree with some of them and don't think some of the others are particularly true. One major lesson that Wired didn't mention is that you have to play with a consistent universe. I think that most of the geek TV viewers can only take a little bit of revisionism a la Final Crisis before the show gets too convoluted and improbable to believe.
Or maybe that's just me.
