Overview/Prologue

So yeah, this is my first time ever attending an anime expo, and obviously my first time attending Anime-Expo (AX). I basically decided to go about 5 days before the convention started because one of my friends offered me a ride down south. From what I’m told, AX is supposed to be a good mix of "newbies" and "old-school veterans" so I guess it was a good pick for my first anime con. Anyways, keep this in mind as you read over the article, because it became quite clear to me, I had no clue WTF I was doing sometimes. Lucky for me, more often than not things turned out for the better than for the worse.

Got up at like 10:30 AM. Finished packing from last night. Went to BestBuy to buy an Xbox controller and gasp at the high price of Warcraft III. After eating a lunch of fried rice, Wes and I left for Long Beach.

Ride was smooth but we noticed quite a bit of traffic on the way down. Wes got a ticket on highway 5. Was going over 100 mph but the cop made the ticket out as for only 85 mph. He was nice I guess.

On the 405 we encountered traffic, which was to be expected. After all, it was around 6 PM. We eventually reached Long Beach and picked up our passes. Some guy in a Hawaiian-Style DBZ shirt mocked my 133t m33 baseball jersey. (This sort of irony is only possible at an anime convention!)

Wes dropped me back off in Saxon to stay with my friend for the night. I ended up seeing MIB2 with Wes. I’d write a review but there’s already a better one on the site...
