It's the end of the year, and that always means lots of work to do if your job is making video games. So I apologize for the length of our absence, but - hey! - we're back. And we brought our plastic guitars with us. We talk about Rock Band (the game that makes us both feel like we have some shred of musical talent), the movie Beowulf, and - on an unexpectedly serious note - the role of women in the video game industry.

- We talk about Rock Band, the new video game by Harmonix
- Here's some dude shredding "Green Grass and High Tides" by the Outlaws on Expert; we can't do this, to our dismay, but we both love this game
- We thought Beowulf (in 3D) was a thoroughly mediocre experience, but at least it had "naked" Angelina Jolie
- Finally, we discussed women in the video game industry:
- This discussion was brought up when we were discussing the (relatively) recent Assassin's Creed/Jade Raymond/Ubisoft "controversy"
- Jon brought up an MTV interview with Morgan Webb
We've made it to 10 episodes! It's definitely a landmark and hopefully we can make it another 10. This netcast is a bit lengthy because we go on about the Fall TV season. We also talk about Bioshock as well as Andrew Meyer (the guy who uttered "Don't Taze Me Bro!").

Once again we end up discussing the awesomeness that is Bioshock.
Finally, we get a bit serious and discuss the Internet craze that is "Don't Taze Me Bro", which stems from the University of Florida Taser Incident. We also discuss Stephen Colbert's response to the incident.

The Mediocre Minds return once again for our ninth netcast. This time we make it a more reasonable length and cover some music and movies.

Show Notes and Links
- We love R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet
- We both thought The Bourne Ultimatum was awesome and easily one of the summer's best films; we're both fans of the series
- Finally, we enjoyed Superbad, and this is the third time we mentioned that project in one of our netcasts (!)
For those who are curious, the ending sequence is a clip from a hilarious segment on the Jimmy Kimmel Show about a running gag between Matt Damon and Kimmel.
Sorry for the late netcast, but this was a lot of editing. We visited San Diego for Comic Con back in July. We had a blast. This netcast is packed with tons of pop culture but contains the same level of mediocrity you'd expect from us here at Mediocre Minds.Â

- We start off by talking about several film projects:
- The Watchmen film may be an "impossible project".

- Sumir and I each bought a Dan Hibiki figure from Wizard.
- Despite the fact neither Sumir nor I bought any of their figures, Hasbro cleaned up at the con with their Transformers, GI Joe, and He-Man figures.
- I plan on using my Golden Bender Bank from FunKo, thus violating the prime directive of collectibles.
- I have since sold my Mating Season Zoidberg from Toynami as well as my JLU Action Figures (Shayera, John Stewart, and the Ray) from Mattel. I also bought the Naruto figures.
- Both Leonidas from NECA and Race Queen Rei from Kotobukiya were not in demand and easy to purchase.
- We also discussed the Heroes panel.
- Then there was discussion about various games:
- I showed how hyped I am for Eye of Judgment despite the fact that I need a PS3 to play it!
- Sumir talked about the Star Wars Miniatures game by Wizards of the Coast.
- We both discussed the 24 CCG, which while funny flavor-wise wasn't very good mechanically.
- Finally we rambled on a bit about what Comic Con has become and what it means to each of us.

After a somewhat extended break, your favorite Mediocre Minds return. This time, we're presented with an option, and we chose to die hard.
